delve. Such a good word.

Welcome back loyal blog fans near and far. I decided to just pretend like I didn't go on a one, ish, month hiatus from writing ever so diligently on my blog, and that I didn't just stop writing in time of happenings and movings and changes... that I might not have abandoned you during the past month, ish, let's pretend like I've always been here, helping, comforting, guiding you easily through life with my small jokes and boring tales. Can we please pretend? Thank you, you can close your eyes and picture it, if that helps you envision me not abandoning you.

Utah!
Yes folks, that word right there does not lie, I am living in Utah. I call it the big UT, no one knows why, maybe because UT is it's abbreviation, maybe because it seems big after being in a city, maybe because the word the comes before a lot of things, but I'm not putting my money on any of that, no sir ee. I'm just sayin, well, I'm calling it that because the wind turns (Topher, you better be reading my blog, otherwise I'll leave out the inside jokes and everyone else would be a little bit happier!). Well, here I am! I find myself unemployed, in a foreign land, with naught to do but attend classes at the local University. I go to Utah Valley University, wanna check it out?? click me, click it! I'm so web savvy, kills me, why should one person harbor so much skill while the world suffers? Well because I'm freaking awesome that's why. I have a few loverly classes which keep me occupied Monday - Friday 9am - 12 or 1 pm depending on the day. I take:
Sign Language:
-Intro class! Love it, easiest a, almost ever (wait til we get to math). I've taken 2 years of ASL already, but I figured since it'd been a couple years and I need the intro credit anyways why not take a step back and take the class any ways. Every one in the class thinks I am a signing genius. They also all refer to me as, "the snob". I live in Alpine, which is known as a higher class neighborhood, so when they find that out, they decide that JUST because I'm all fancy and in heels and dresses and I live in a nice neighborhood somehow I am a snob! Rude! How they could figure that all out with out even knowing me, genius.
Math:
-oh folks, get super excited, the information I am about to tell you in golden, priceless I say, Michelle's still laughing from this little tidbit. It's pre-algebra. a-yup. Pre, as in before, Algebra, as in solve this problem here and we'll throw an x in there for good measure, ha now solve it... before the little x. I learned a few weeks back how to add, subtract, multiply, and don't leave out divide. I also learned that we won't be doing long division... not our level math. The alligator always eats the bigger number, always (2 < class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_11">goin for that 4, it's 2s lucky day, but just wait til tomorrow, 2s matched up with 1 and then we'll see who's lucky bwahahaha). I took my first math test today. 25 problems, multiple choice, I finished in 7 minutes, and I would bet 50 dollars I got 100%. Don't get me wrong, I am NOT complaining, and this is a good math for me to start at. It's my 3rd favorite class after all. :) Some of my teachers favorite sayings: "I appreciate you all showing up so much." "I think that's the answer, unless they've changed it." and the ever classic "well in my '57 Merc." ... he's crazy about his old Mercury car of some sort. bench seating.
Geography:
-Boooooooring! I'm sad because this could be an interesting class, but my teacher just doesn't know how to teach. We've all seen the teacher on Ferris Bueller's Day off, yup mine is worse than that. This is what we like to call my challenging class.
American Civilization:
-My favorite class. I'm learning all sorts of fun things. I love my teacher. And I love getting to hear a lot of really cool stories about the start of America. If you're in the area, and it's a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday at noon and you have nothing to do, come to class with me! You won't regret it. That's a promise.

Well, there you have it. That's school for ya! Let me tell you, it's super weird being back in the big UT, but I'm loving it. I miss everyone a lot a lot in Seattle, Portland, Kentucky, Jamaica, DC, I mean everyone... I'm missing you all, but I'm really really happy I'm with my family and I'm getting my education! So road trip it up, come on people, I'm waiting for you all to come and visit. Come in the summer, and we'll go camping. :)

Stay tuned folks, I'm makin a comeback tour... I'll be posting AT LEAST once a week. I've come upon some time on my hands and I'm not going to fill it by NOT writing on my blog. Get smart. Time + already started and amazing blog = uber amounts of joke crackin fun!

Adios pardners. OOOh, and look ----------------------------------->
you can see all my pictures on flickr! Looooove it! (said like that 2 headed dragon on dragon tails.)

Shall we? Let us shall!

The date, December 21st, 4 days until Christmas. The temperature, was too cold, way way way too cold. There's snow. A lot of snow. Which means, me, dog, and cat are camping out on this here bed for the next few days... which means the cable box is getting its work out for the decade, and I'm surfing the internet all the live-long-day. This also means, I AM GOING OUT OF MY MIND! Plus, I'm super angry. I have 12 days until I move, just 12. Tonight was supposed to be girls night. My friends were coming over, we were watching Dirty Dancing, eating a lot of ice cream, and telling super girly stories. I love girls night. It was our last chance. Tomorrow was cookie day, I got it off work and everything. No more cookies. I'm stuck alone, in this house, waiting for snow to thaw, counting down until I leave. If I'm forced to spend Christmas alone in this house I will kill someone. Plus, there are things that need to be done before I make the fateful move. Wish me luck folks. :)

moving... so... the end?

Well, here we are. This is such a random day, but a good day none the less, and actually nothing's really happening today today, so we're using day as in like this time period, era if you will. I've decided to move back to Utah. I'm going to UVU. I'm getting my education, completing that step into growing up growing up, and having a superb life. So, here we are, with my blog, and all you loyal friends whom I don't get to see, well, you're the friends I'll be heading back to... so, this blog now becomes reverse. I will now be blogging for all my Seattle friends and family. :) Utah folks, just stop by and talk to me... as for you best friends whom I've left my spirit with in Seattle.... things are gonna get pretty sick! And I do mean that in the way cool term and not like we're throwing up all over... Utah here I come... we're goin back to school folks... and we're doin it with a 3.8 gpa. :) Rock on. With that little guitar finger wiggle thing Charlie does tacked on the end here for emphasis.

Love you all... so long blogger readers from Utah, hello new fans from Seattle.

Hey a November 8th to the November 13!!!!!!!!!! (Almost friday the 13th, but it's thursday, so it's all good!!!)

Aight. Let's do this. I am doing laundry. This is a good place to start... ooh and I did my dishes! Talk about accomplishment, apparently it's been too long to tell people exactly how long it's been... it gross' them out. Soooo, let's just say it's been way way way too long. But not no more! They're done! Although I did them because my friends were coming over for a bonnified good ol fashioned slumber party. Some of the girls from my work came over and we pulled my matress into the living room, watched a chick flick, and stayed up talking until 3. It was really fun. And not only that but we downed pizza, popcorn, ice cream, and the like. Gained a good 15 pounds. Lemme tell you!! And it was a bright and sunshiney morning when we all had to get up at 7 for work, doctors appointments, and manicures. Can you guess which one was me?? You were gonna guess doctor, huh? Cuz that's all I do with my time now... but you WERE WRONG! I got the manicure and pedicure!! My Grandma took me out for a manicure since I have nails now! It's awesome! They're all filled nice and painted matching my toes too!! I love it! I think I may hit her up for it again at some point. Plus then she took me out for lunch and bought me groceries! Yay for family!!!!!! Anywhoooo... good day off yesterday... today was ok, although I ran out of things to do around 11. We're now on the 4th ish hour of scrubs marathon... wow. So, I went to the doctor earlier this week about my lovely gallstones, Delilah, Jackson, and Winnefred, apparently I live with them in me until I explode or something. I guess a lot of people have gallstones and they just live with them and not even know it. The doctor doesn't think that it's causing me any problems, so away I go through life with my lovely stones. :) FUN! Nah, I guess it's not that big of a deal. Of things that could go wrong with me, this isn't so bad! At least I keep telling myself that, no one likes being sick. I applied to college this morning, Seattle Central Community College, woo! I guess that's a good thing! Fortunately I'm in for sure, so no pressure there! Filled out the good ol form, took 10 minutes, can't believe I didn't do it before! I'm off to Utah this Wednesday, and I think that's what's keeping me in such awesome spirits. Adios!

November 1 - November 7ish. Live every week like Shark Week!

This week has proven to be iteresting. Halloween was good, and then it was nice having a week with no plans, so I could just relax. I found an apartment to move to when my lease is up. It's with a few girls from my ward. The rent is almost 200 bucks cheaper and it's closer to my work. Plus it's right on the bus route so I could just hop on the bus instead of having to drive and find parking. And with cable and a lot of storage right in the garage, it's just too good to pass up! I'll move in March when my lease here is up! Things were going really well there for a few days, found an apartment, work was coming together, and I even went to FHE! Yup, by choice I went to FHE and socialized! I know many of you are now suffering from what is comenly referred to as a heart attack, and as crazy as it sounds, it's true! It's all in my 3 year plan people, I said I was going to date, and how will I date if I don't meet boys, and how will I meet date worthy boys if I don't socialize, and how will I socialize if I don't break my comfort bearier and go to FHE!!! So, that's how I found myself judging various pumpkin baked goods to see which was the best. So there I was, in the middle of some awesome times, and as I stolled through my kitchen on the way to the shower, in naut but my towel, I glance into my stickbug tank, and found Jed had died. I called in Autumn: "Auuuuuuuutumn!!!!!!!!!" "What?" "Coooome heeeereeee!!!" "That sounds like your spider voice, I won't come for spiders." "NOOOO, seriously! Come here!... ... ... is he dead?" "Oh Jen, I'm sorry!" And then we both started crying. I cried in the shower she pulled herself together before going back into her apartment, the guys make fun of us sometimes. Anywho, it's always a bad sign when one of my grown up bugs dies, and I knew I was in for it. My cell phone was stolen off the counter at work. A crazy looking potentially homeless guy came into our work late Tuesday, it was dark out and everyone was home listening to the joyful soudns of Obama winning, so naturally the homeless felt it safe to openly walk the streets. By day they stay grouped and usually in the park, or on certain street corners, but by night... eek! It's like they own the place. Anywho, my cell phone was sitting on the counter because I was texting someone about how exciting thing were getting, and then I started helping another couple that came in, and as the homeless guy took a cruise around the store I get the distinct notion he just swooped past, picked it up, and waltzed out the front door with it. I was so sad. 2 years of photos and phone numbers gone!! Ah well, it's not the worst thing that could happen. And then this morning I found out that I have 3, maybe 4, gallstones. They're not causing me pain yet, but I think I will have to have my gallbladder out at somepoint. They're too big to just disolve and pass, and the only way to deal with gallstones is to have your gallbladder removed. It's not the worst surgery that can happen, just a few tiny snips and they suck it out, but it is still surgery, and no one needs to deal with that. So, here I am, cell less, down to one stick bug, and having problems coming up with a third name for my stones. Delilah, Winnefrid, and What?! and what?!?! No big deal, but still not the funnest news ever! Woo! I have decided though that my next step in photography is to purchase a really nice scanner that will also scan my negatives, however they're spendy, and I don't have the money, nor the memory space on my little ol lappy, so I'll have to invest in a desk top also, so this won't be for another 3 or 4 years... but it's something to look forward to! Alright, love you all! Coming to Utah in 13 days. Hurrah! Get ready to party! I want ice cream, and chuckarama, and twister parties. with sprinkles, all of it with sprinkles!!!! I leave you with these words of wisdom, that I care to live my life by, dress every day as if you were going to be murdered in those clothes. :)

Stolen Phone

Whilest working today, some crazy man came into our store, walked back to the counter, took my cell phone, turned around, and walked out the door. No one even noticed. It's a lot of money to get a new one!! So, for now, email and facebook me. I need everyone's phone numbers again. So email them, comment with them, or send them to me on facebook. Lame! But on a side note, YAY FOR OBAMA!

October 18th - now, which would be the 30th. Happy DCing and Halloween partying.

Well, it's been a few weeks now since my run in with DC, but I figure better late than never. I had a busy week just after I got back, and now that it's slowed a bit, I figure I can catch up on what's missing here.

La - la- lalalalaaaaaaaaaaa DC!!!!!!!!!!

I flew to DC late Wednesday night. Rachel was asleep when I got there,
which meant having to fall asleep 3 hours sooner than my body wanted while being super excited to see how big she is. Finally, and I do mean finally, I fell asleep. Michelle came in and woke me up the next morning as soon as Rachel was awake, as requested. Rachel was super anxious about this crazy haired girl asleep in what was normally her room, but after staring at me with her mouth hanging open slightly, she seemed to accept that I was not as terrifying as initially anticipated. We did a lot of hanging around the house, which was fine by me since I was enjoying a good 2 - 3 naps a day, jet lag doesn't agree with me. Rachel seemed to tolerate me, but she didn't really like me until later in the visit. We went to the park with Michelle's friend Julie and her kids, we went shopping a few times, I got new nail polish. Friday I helped Michelle babysit JT and Mikey. They were quite cute, only I don't know how people have three kids!! Insanity! I just helped, and for like 4 hours, all day everyday?? Whoa, not ready for that! On Saturday Michelle and I kissed the fam goodbye, meaning Matt and Rachel, and Michelle really was the only one kissing, and jumped on the Metro. We went into DC to see the monuments. We went to the National Gallery of Art, which I loved. And true as Michelle says, we ended up spending more time in the gift shop than we did in the actual museum. I saw what I wanted, and bought what I wanted, so all in all I felt it was a successful jaunt through the art filled hallways. We then walked down the mall or whatever they call it. We stopped briefly in the natural museum and saw some big diamond something or other. All I know what it was huge, blue, and like a million people were trying to get a picture of it. Really? Just print one off the internet folks!! Plus flash with glass inbetween you and whatever it is your trying to capture on memory card doesn't end so well. So, we high tailed it outta there and continued our lengthy journey through DC. We plowed past the Washington Monument, stopping briefly for a few snaps here and there. We zoomed past the WWII monument, which confused me anyways. Took a brief pit stop on a bench by a quant little pond, where an entire roll of film was used on all the geese running amok. Then stopped for a few breaths on the edge of the Vietnam memorial. Then FINALLY we got to the Lincoln Monument. We walked up a bajillion stairs and I snapped my polaroid picture of the monument which I had declared as my favorite. After a brief nap on the lawn, we hit the metro and headed back home. We went to Michelle's trunk er Treak party with the ward. Rachel was princess Leah. By Sunday she loved me, and had no problem playing with me or letting me hold her. Tuesday morning came all too soon, and it was a teary farewell at the airport. I got on the plain, glared at the angry French woman next to me, and ended up right back where I started in good ol Seattle Tueday afternoon! Whew! DC! I would not mind going back one day! But only if Chelle's still there, it wasn't THAT cool.

I had just a few days to set up my house for my Halloween party. I also sewed my friend Topher's costume. All my friends came over the Tuesday night before Halloween. We had an amazing dance party, played dirty twister (me trying to take down everyone with me while I was on my way down), and bobbed for apples. All in all it was just an excuse to eat a lot of chips and dip and dress up in our sweet costumes an extra night. It was really fun. We stayed up way too late, and I regretted that one the next day, but fortunately it was my day off, so I slept in. Woo!

Well, now that I'm home, and parties are over, and my apartment is actually coming together nicely, I have time to be bored. Guitar Hero has come back out of it's box, I've painted a few pictures, done laundry, and gotten pretty close to doing dishes. Let's hope I have a good week! Productive at least, my goal: do the dishes!! Til next friday, adios!
